We’ve long been a fan of Readability and its uncanny ability to strip out all the guff from web pages to give you a optimised reading experience.  Readability normally requires a bookmarklet but to make things easy we have integrated Readability into add.io.  Simply click on the “Read” link next to the bookmark to preview your pages in text-only mode.

Readability is designed to work best with articles rather than home pages, so results may vary depending on the link.  If anything seems screwy please let us know using the “Ask us anything” link above.

We’re happy to announce that add.io has been accepted as a service provider on AddThis.  You should see us in their directory within the next few weeks.

Following some discussions with AlchemyAPI we have tweaked the tagging rules to try and remove some of the low quality tags that were being extracted.  You shouldn’t notice much of a difference but if anything seems amiss let us know.
